Things to Know - Quad Tour
Training: All quad tours have a pre quading trip orientation and safety session. We want you to be safe and comfortable on the machines so you will enjoy your day to the fullest.
Drivers: All drivers on guided tours must be at least 16 years old. and 18 years old on self guided and rentals. A valid driver’s license is required.
Passengers: The passengers that are on the quads are ones that have come up with the drivers. We do no put passengers on the quads. If you wish to ride alone we will not put a stranger on with you.
Children-We have a minimum age of 9 years old to ride.
Where: We tour Blue Grouse Mountain area across the lake from Kelowna where a view of the city, at 4500 ft, is quite breathtaking. The trails are some of the nicest you will find in the province. From easy trails for the beginner to more challenging ones for the novice.
.
Difficulty: The degree of difficulty in riding a quad is not difficult at all. They are a very stable, well built machine. They have a superb braking system and an engine brake that will stop the machine just by releasing the throttle! The difficulty is in the ATV trails we choose. So if it’s your first time don’t be concerned, we’ll teach you what to do and have fun doing it.
What to bring: We don’t encourage shorts but don’t tell you not to either. There are lots of trees and rocks that will brush your legs resulting in cuts and scratches. Long pants and a long sleeve shirt even in the heat are preferred. The Okanagan heat isn’t noticed when you are moving. Pack an extra pair of shorts and bring them, along with your camera and binoculars. We always carry water and snacks with us. Wear good footwear. Good boots are recommended but a good pair of runners that lace up are fine. PLEASE, NO SANDALS! Sunscreen and lip gloss is also wise to have.
